Pilot Studies
FILTRONICS, INC.
Why do a pilot study?
-
Water sources are NEVER the same.
-
Verifies chemical feed requirements.
-
Indicates future chemical operating costs.
-
Indicates future electrical operating costs.
-
Provides basis for performance warranty.
-
Offers on-site demonstration for client and consultant
Larsco's “full scale” pilot unit can provide long term, real time data. The 20" unit is located inside a 20' trailer. The unit provides approximately 2 square feet of filter area and can be applied to flows of 10 to 30 gallons per minute depending on the application and has automated valves. Inside the trailer, there is also a reverse osmosis pilot unit that can run in conjunction to the 20" filter if needed. Larsco also utilizes a smaller 3" unit, which has the same performance as the 20" but is manually operated.

Actual field tests are required for Filtronics to determine the treatability of the water source. The purpose of the pilot plant is to verify the chemical oxidation demand, determine the chemical feed rates, determine the electrical operating costs, and document the removal efficiencies. All tested water samples are sent to an independent laboratory for substantiation. A pilot test provides the basis for the Filtronics performance guarantee.
If you would like Larsco to perform a pilot study for you, please contact us or print and fill out the General Mineral Analysis and fax, mail, or scan and email it to us.
